Transforming
Lives through the Power of Music

We help young people around the world
discover their dignity and
unlock their potential
— all through the gift of music.

The Challenge

Young people are full of potential. But around the world, many are dealing with a sense of isolation, low self-esteem, and loss of hope. Millions are growing up in difficult circumstances including war, refugee crises, ethnic hostilities, and widening educational and economic disparities. Many suffer in silence believing they have no voice.

Why Music?

Music is transformational. When people make music together it helps them build resilience, self-confidence, dignity, hope, and community. Our goal isn’t to train professional musicians but to focus on what happens within and the profound personal and social development that comes from connecting with others.

Our Programs

Through our on location and virtual music programs, we bring the transformative experience of making music together to young people ages of 12 - 18. They come together as “one big family” to develop the self-confidence and resilience they need to find their unique voice.

Week-long immersive experiences culminating in a professionally accompanied public concert

Music Camp International

  • What Young People Learn

Camps typically include choir and instrument instruction (violin, cello, Orff percussion instruments, handbells, recorder, guitar) with adaptive curriculum levels.

  • Two Approaches

Musedics International can be conducted either on location or virtually, whatever best suits the local needs and capabilities.

  • The Results

Music camps build bridges between young people of different ethnic, economic, and social situations — creating a “one big family” experience!

  • Who Benefits

Each camp includes hundreds of young participants including many who may have traditionally been shut out of this type of opportunity.

We are Experienced Global Leaders

Romania

Through our on-location and virtual programs, we work with students across the country. Not only do these children learn music, their participation is tied to academic and literacy support – which has kept these amazing young people in school and working at grade level.

Ukraine

By invitation of the government and the Council of Europe, we are working at both primary and secondary schools across the country through our Virtual Musedics program and special projects. Many of our students have fathers on the front lines.

Kenya

Musedics provides weekly participation in both vocal and instrumental ensemble for more than 110 students — 5th grade through high school — at an academy in Bungoma. Many of these students are orphans and live at the academy. Others live in poverty in a nearby village.

India

In 2022, two orphanages in New Delhi became our first Musedics programs in India. We soon added two more orphanages in Lucknow. Former participants are now returning as university students to assist younger children in experiencing the transformative power of music.

“Music Camp was a profoundly transformative experience that resonated far beyond the final note. (...) It was there I witnessed the truly inspiring power of collaborative dedication, as students, many new to professional singing, blossomed to deliver concerts of astonishing quality – a testament to the camp's unique ability to unlock hidden potential.”

Your Support Matters

More Music Camps!

Everywhere we work, the demand for more music camps is growing. We can only reach more young people with the help of transformational investment.

New Programs!

We want to add Micro Music Hubs — virtual live international and interactive Musedics classes for groups of five children. In addition, we want to expand our Extended Learning Portal Zoom classes.

More Countries!

We have been invited to bring the power of music to young people in other countries. This means recruiting and training more teachers and buying additional instruments.

Make an Impact

Be part of our efforts to build on our program-rich heritage, to become a robust, flexible, and sustainable movement that will circle the globe — and transform the lives of thousands of young people — through the power of music.
